EducationThe Montgomery Soil Conservation District Supervisors and Staff are dedicated to conservation education for students, farmers, and the general public. There is no aspect of our work that has more bearing on the future, or gives us more satisfaction than enriching someones knowledge about agriculture, soil conservation, and resource protection. It is a priority that is intertwined in everything we do. The Supervisors exhibit their dedication to education by participating in Close Encounters with Agriculture, being judges for the State and National Envirothon competitions, and giving presentations to schools. The Staff makes conservation education an important part of their daily routine – every phone call, every meeting with a farmer, and every talk for students is an opportunity to educate.
