Department of Economic Development, Agricultural Services Division
The Agricultural Services Division was created to support and promote the viability of the agricultural industry in Montgomery County. Agricultural activities occupy about one-third of Montgomery County's land area and the County's diverse agricultural industry - 577 farms and 350 horticultural enterprises - produces more than $251 million in economic contribution and employs more than 10,000 residents.

To protect and enhance the quality of life in our community through the conservation, preservation, and restoration of our environment, guided by the principles of science, resource management, sustainability, and stewardship.

Department of Permitting Services
The mission of DPS is to provide the highest quality of public service while insuring compliance with Montgomery County development and construction standards.

Montgomery County, MD GIS
The Montgomery County, Maryland GIS web portal is designed to disseminate maps, spatial data, information, and publications;deliver local and national GIS news and events; and, provide access to staff and related web sites.

Montgomery Cooperative Extension
We'd like to introduce you to a remarkable office, located in the heart of Montgomery County, where you can obtain useful, practical, up-to-date information on many subjects. It's called the Montgomery County Cooperative Extension, and it acts as a countywide educational system. It's sponsored jointly by the University of Maryland, Montgomery County Government, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture; and has access to many of the University of Maryland's resources.
