Due to the nature of this industry, MSCD Staff are often out of the office working with clients. On rare occurrences, the office may even be shut down for several hours, opening again when MSCD Staff members return from the field. It is strongly recommended to schedule an appointment to ensure that the visiting party is provided for properly.
The office is closed on federal holidays.

Take Interstate 495 to Interstate 270 North towards Frederick. Take Exit 8 toward Shady Grove Road and stay on the ramp for Shady Grove Road East toward Gaithersburg. Stay on Shady Grove Road East for approximately 3 miles and make a right turn on to Muncaster Mill Road. (Landmark fire station on right hand side.) Follow Muncaster Mill Road for approximately 1/4 mile and turn left onto Muncaster Road. The Agriculture History Farm Park is approximately 1.3 miles on the left side.
Take Interstate 270 South towards Washington, D.C. and get off on Exit 11 - Montgomery Village Ave/MD-124N. Turn left onto MD-124/Quince Orchard Road. MD-124N becomes Montgomery Village Avenue after about 1/2 mile. Go 3/4 of a mile and make a slight right onto Mid-county Highway and follow for 3 miles. Then turn left onto Shady Grove Road and follow for approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right onto Muncaster Mill Road (Landmark fire station on right hand side.) After 1/4 mile turn left onto Muncaster Road. The Agriculture History Farm Park is approximately 1.3 miles on the left side.

Montgomery Soil Conservation District Staff
John Zawitoski, District Manager - Provides administrative and managerial oversight for District operations, personnel and initiatives. Acts as a liaison between the Board of Supervisors and the District and implements programs and projects as directed by the Board.
Karen F. Walker, Administrative Assistant - Provides administrative support for federal and state agricultural programs.
J. Harne, Conservation Planner - Provides assistance in developing conservation plans on agricultural property and administers the Cover Crop Program in Montgomery County.
Travis Gorleski, Equine Conservationist - Provides assistance in developing conservation plans and educational outreach to the Equine Community.
Paul Meyer, MDA Soil Conservation Engineering Technician - Provides technical and engineering assistance to landowners and cooperators in Montgomery County.
Natalia Salazar, Nutrient Management Advisor - Provides assistance to farmers in complying with the nutrient management process and regulation requirements.
Natural Resource Conservation Service Field Office Staff
Charlotte Brewster, NRCS District Conservationist - Provides technical assistance and oversight for SCD conservation planning and conservation practice installation. Coordinates NRCS program management.
Brandy Gibbons, NRCS Soil Conservationist - Assists in the delivery of USDA conservation programs to help land managers with planning and application of conservation practices on their land.
